CNUD EFCO International and The Float Glass Consortium have jointly developed a comprehensive package for the specification, design, supply, installation and commissioning of float (tin) baths for the float glass industry worldwide. Belgium-based CNUD EFCO is the world’s leading supplier of lehr technology and equipment to the flat glass sector around the world and an acknowledged leader in tin bath roof technology and supply. The Float Glass Consortium of UK (FGC) is a leading independent provider of business and technical consulting services and operational support to the flat glass industry globally. This formal collaboration has evolved over the past months and has led to the joint development of the Powersave Float Tin Bath concept which offers new and existing float glass manufacturers and other industry specialists a unique design which can provide lower capital cost, reduced energy consumption and improved operating performance. Several of the unique features are subject to patent applications. As well as being the leading supplier of flat glass lehrs and a major supplier of tin bath roofs, CNUD EFCO has also supplied a wide range of tin bath equipment of their own manufacture to customers around the world. This has led to a number of customers requesting CNUD to supply a full package of technology, equipment, installation and operational support for the tin bath. FGC has very extensive experience in the design and commissioning of float tin baths on behalf of float manufacturers in many countries. In addition, FGC personnel have unparalleled experience in operating tin baths over extended periods. It is the combination of CNUD EFCO’s acknowledged leadership in lehr and bath roof technology and equipment supply together with FGC’s technical and operational expertise which led to this collaboration and the development of the Powersave concept. |
